Yeovil Town ASB and Drug use

The town centre team is currently focusing on Anti-social behaviour and drug use occurring in the town centre this also links in to shoplifting offences

We are working with various partner agencies from the NHS, addiction services, council and Yeovil Crime reduction team to priorities individual offenders and problem solve issues around them and deal with offenders positively and proactively.

We have various orders already imposed on individuals in the town centre that ensure conditions are applied to  mitigate their behaviour these range from Community protection warnings, Community protection notices and Criminal behaviour orders.

 

 

Actions

  • 6 March 2025

    Officers and PCSO’s this week have been conducting targeted patrols in the town centre. Officers from the neighbourhood team have arrested 3 individuals this week for various offences who have also been contributing to ASB in the town.

  • 3 March 2025

    Regular meetings have been held with the Yeovil Crime Reduction team around priority issues and offenders. Officers are also currently awaiting court results for a prolific shoplifter charged with 22 offences.

     

  • 13 February 2025

    Multi Agency meeting took place for interested agencies to assist in managing the local homeless provisions after ASB and drug offences had been committed.
