Hunting, Hare coursing and Poaching

Wincanton Rural Neighbourhood Team have seen an increase in reports around hunting, hare coursing and poaching. We aim to establish better communications with our rural communities to address these issues and to encourage reporting.

  Wincanton Rural Neighbourhood Team have been consistently patrolling our rural locations and working with our border colleagues in Dorset to provide a consistent visible approach and dealing quickly with any reports made.

  Wincanton Rural Neighbourhood Team have responded to different reports which we have recently received. We have worked closely with our Anti-social behaviour team who have issued ASB warning letters.
