The Taunton Neighbourhood Policing Team love to engage!

When we are on patrol in and around the town centre, engaging with members of the community is vital to us for many reasons – including:

INTEL: not everybody feels comfortable sharing information but we absolutely encourage you to come and talk to us if you see us out and about on patrol. Anything you share will be dealt with in the strictest in confidence.

REASSURANCE: when you see an officer patrolling, regardless of if it is in a vehicle or on foot, it will give you a sense of security. It’s always very satisfying when somebody randomly comes up to us and says “thank you for looking after us” or “you’re doing a great job”.

EVENTS: whether it’s a bike marking event or a concert at Vivary Park, we aim to be a part of as many community events as possible. This is an opportunity for you and the family to come and say hello and let us try and answer any questions you may have.
