Engagement with young people in Midsomer Norton at key locations.

The Neighbourhood Team are prioritising engaging with young people at key locations across Midsomer Norton to assist in the prevention of anti social behaviour.

The main locations prioritised are:

The skate park in Midsomer Norton

The Hollies

High Street

Regular patrols and engagement with the young people gathering at these locations will continue as a priority.

    The Hollies, Holly Court, The Skate Park, the derelict Repro building on Primrose Lane, the derelict house on Station Road and the High Street remain a priority for Neighbourhood Team patrols. There has recently been nothing of note across these priority areas.

    Patrols will continue.

    Patrols across these priority areas continue. There is nothing of note to report from these patrols.

    The Hollies, Holly Court, The Skate Park, the derelict Repro building on Primrose Lane, the derelict house on Station Road and the High Street have received regular patrols by the Neighbourhood Team.

    This will continue.

    The Midsomer Norton Team will continue these patrols.

    Patrols have continued by the Midsomer Norton Neighbourhood Team at all locations where young people gather around the town. Engagement has only been positive.

    The Hollies, Holly Court, The Skate Park and the High Street have received regular patrols by the Neighbourhood Team. Also, patrols of the derelict Repro building on Primrose Lane and the derelict house on Station Road have also been regularly completed as well as working with the owners to secure these premises.

    Patrols have continued by the Midsomer Norton Neighbourhood Team at all locations where young people gather around the town. Engagement has only been positive.

    Patrols around Holly Court have not raised any issues.

    Patrols of The Hollies following an increase in anti-social behaviour last month has shown a sharp decease in issues. Patrols will continue to ensure this continues. There have been no recent reports of issues.

    The Midsomer Norton Team will continue these patrols.

    Midsomer Norton Neighbourhood Team continue their positive engagements with young people across all locations.

    There have been continued focused patrols at Holly Court due to previous reports of damage and anti-social behaviour in the area. Further patrols of The Hollies now to engage with young people are being completed. Engagement so far has been positive.

    The Midsomer Norton Team will continue patrols in these areas.

    Positive engagements with young people across the Midsomer Norton area has continued at all locations.

    Focused patrols at Holly Court due to historical reports of damage and anti-social behaviour in the area. Any engagement with young people has been positive.

    The Midsomer Norton Team will continue patrols in these areas.

    Positive engagements with young people across the Midsomer Norton area has continued at all locations where our young people gather, such as The High Street and The Skate Park. This action will continue and remain on our priorities.

    Midsomer Norton Team continue to patrol their priority areas with the aim of engagement with young people. As well as the Skate Park, the team also patrol the cycle routes and the High Street at locations we know young people hang out. We will continue this priority for positive engagement.

    The Neighbourhood Team will continue to patrol the Midsomer Norton location of the skate park, amongst other locations not mentioned on this priority in Midsomer Norton, to specifically engage with young people in the area. This continues as a regular priority.

    Patrols of Midsomer Norton prioritised location of the skate park continue as incidents of ASB have increased towards the end of the school holidays and the better weather. We will continue to engage with the young people using the facilities in a positive way whilst also dealing with the minority that are causing issues for the rest.

    With the school holidays the Neighbourhood Team are focusing patrols in all areas across the local area to engage with young people in a positive way and to be a visible presence for young people to make contact with if they have concerns.

    This continues to be a priority for the Neighbourhood Team and we will continue to engage with young people across our policing area in our day to day patrols.

    The Neighbourhood Team continues to regularly patrol the priority locations (Behind the library in Radstock, The skate park in Midsomer Norton, Westhill Road Recreation Ground in Westfield) and are engaging with young people, as well as additional locations across the area where young people gather. The team we continue this priority throughout the year and into the summer.
