Anti Social Behaviour- door knocking

It is being brought to our attention that there is increasing incidents of anti social behaviour around Shepton Mallet, this is in the form of teenagers banging very loudly on front doors and running away.

This is causing distress for the members of the public involved, waking young children and frightening the elderly.

We are being passed CCTV/Doorbell footage during house to house enquiries, which will assist us in trying to identify those involved

Recently when these incidents have been reported, we have approached local schools who have been able to positively identify youths involved through CCTV/doorbell camera footage; which has led to Anti-Social Behaviour warning letters being issued and Out of Court Disposals by means of a Community Resolution.

The neighbourhood team are increasing the amount of high visibility foot patrol in the affected areas when possible.

The majority of these incidents have resulted in identifications and have been dealt with using a Community Resolution.
