Anti-Social Motorbikes – Op Broad
Ongoing issues with motorbikes being ridden in a dangerous and illegal manner around the Knowle and Filwood area. The Officers in Charge of this priority are: PC Will Johnson-Pyatt and PCSO Mark Thomas.

13 June 2024
In June, we conducted two days of targeted action to address this local issue. The results include reporting three riders for driving otherwise in accordance of a licence, recovering two stolen motorbikes, and arresting one individual for multiple offences, including riding a stolen motorbike failing to stop for officers. In addition to responding to calls about this issue, we have more operations planned throughout the year.

We continue to report offenders to court, with several upcoming cases involving offenders. Sergeant Iles has written a community impact statement to highlight to the courts the risk that offending poses to the public, as well as to the riders themselves.

10 February 2024
We have today issued 6 warning notices to drivers who have been driving vehicles in Knowle and Filwood in a manner which has caused alarm, distress or annoyance. If seen again within a twelve month period their vehicle will be seized.

So far in 2024 we have had 15 positive outcomes ranging from vehicle seizures, arrests and persons being reported to court.

Operation BROAD had 78 positive outcomes in Knowle and Filwood during 2023 which consisted of Arrests, Suspects charged to Court, Warnings and Vehicle Seizures.
