School safety campaign

The local neighbourhood policing team will be supporting the Clifton schools with road safety at the beginning and end of the day. This will incorporate high visibility patrols to support staff and tackle inconsiderate parking as well as any other road traffic offence.

  • 17 January 2025

    The neighbourhood team remain committed to supporting schools with their road safety campaigns. Since the new year 5 patrols of the local Clifton schools have taken place to address parking issues and general road safety concerns.

  • 16 August 2024

    In the Spring period the police managed to obtain some road safety signs to assist with the parking area outside of school. These will become part of our school safety campaign for the new school period starting in September.

    Uniformed police patrols will support the schools assisting with the school drop off/pick up period and looking at parking offences.

     

  • 30 November 2023

    The neighbourhood team have been supporting some local school with patrols at the drop off and pick up time.

    At this time words of advice are being given to vehicles who are parking poorly.

    Several schools now have their own safer street initiatives which the police are fully supporting
