Wanted absconder arrested

Wanted absconder Sean Phipps has been arrested.

The prisoner absconded from HMP Leyhill on Wednesday 1 June. Police officers in Leicestershire detained Phipps, 51, at around 10pm yesterday (Friday 9 September). He has now been handed over to our officers.

He was originally imprisoned for kidnap and rape.
