Machete seized during property search in Weston super-Mare

Drugs and a machete have been seized following a property search in Weston super-Mare.

On Friday (23 August) plain clothes officers observed a 42 year old man acting suspiciously outside a property on Orchard Street in Weston super-Mare. Upon detaining the man, a search found a small amount of cannabis.

Officers then entered the property the man was observed outside and inside the property found a large machete and a small quantity of Class A and Class B drugs believed to be Heroin and Cannabis respectively. A 46 year old man believed to be the owner of the property was also found to be present inside.

Both men have been issued with a drugs education programme referral.
