Bristol district > Brislington neighbourhood area

The Brislington Neighbourhood Area includes the communities of Knowle, Filwood, Brislington, Windmill Hill, Totterdown, St Annes, Broomhill, Hengrove, Stockwood and Whitchurch village.

Two of the busiest routes into the city, the A37 and the A4, bisect the area and commercial premises especially in Brislington can be found along these routes.

Located at Hengrove is an entertainment complex and major building work of a new college, hospital, leisure facilities and housing is planned in this area over the next few years.

The Knowle and Filwood areas, the latter of which has a high concentration of local authority housing, were national pilot sites for Neighbourhood Policing and have many established community and multi-agency partnerships.

The Neighbourhood Area also benefits from large public green spaces, such as Hengrove Park, Victoria Park and Stockwood Open Space.
